Process Engineer
Purpose of the position
The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer, as a knowledge holder of (chemical/physical) processes within his unit, is responsible for the implementation of strategic improvement programs in the field of efficiency, process improvement, SHE, sustainability etc. All this within the boundaries of SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) in compliance with set standards and requirements (quality).
Job Content
- Process Optimization: Is responsible for the realization of process improvements.
- Project-based work: Lead change or improvement projects (100k-10MEur)
- Quality assurance/improvement
- Monitor and improve production line availability and product quality (customer complaints, outages, ...) and take action where necessary to stay within the set frameworks
- Mature newly released products and processes
- Structural problem solving/ Root Causes analysis (LEAN/6 Sigma)
What do you bring?
- Bachelor Process Technology/ Chemical Engineering;
- Automation and IT: Database structures (DAX, MDX), VBA, PowerBI, MSOffice, analytical tools for statistical process control (Minitab);
- Knowledge of production management and Lean management concepts;
- Problem solving techniques: 5M, 8D, Ishikawa, A3, …;
- Analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, capability to develop people, working across departments;
- Proven experience in project management;
- Independent working;
- +/- 5 work experiences in a production environment including leading projects;
- Fluent in English.
