Nemho employs over 80 technicians, engineers and chemists responsible for the development of new products and processes and for the continuous improvement of the product quality and production processes efficiency by implementing new and innovative technologies.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

As an already experienced Chemist/Engineer, you will be contributing to new product development in energy curable (Electron Beam / UV) resins and coating technologies for the Broadview Materials companies. Based on your insights and together with our diverse team of specialists, you will execute and deliver on projects focused on research and product development. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, whereby depending on your experience and skill set, you can lead (sub-) projects for the team. A strong pragmatic, hands-on approach and good communication and cooperation skills are required to be successful.

 

As a  Chemist/Engineer you will:

  • Lead individual projects or be a project team member for larger projects
  • Generate and develop ideas for long- and short-term project initiatives
  • Support operations with problem-solving and process optimization
  • Inform and advise R&D management in strategic planning and decision-making
  • Research, analyse, and compare competitive products
  • Coach and mentor trainees and interns
  • Serve as the key Nemho contact for specific technology areas
  • Build and maintain professional networks with universities, institutes, laboratories, and suppliers

What do you bring

Education:

MSc. or PhD. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material or Polymer Sciences, or a related field. Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience will also be considered

 

 

Experience:

  • 2+  years of relevant working experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Proven project and program management skills
  • Good knowledge in (organic or polymer) chemistry
  • Effective interaction across various levels and environments
  • Experience in the HPL industry or energy curable resins or coating formulation is a plus
  • Critical and analytical thinking
  • Demonstrating initiative and curiosity
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt
  • Hands-on spirit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively
  • Languages: Professional fluency in English; additional European language(s) preferred

Additional Information

You should be willing to travel up to 20% of your time.

The position is located in Weert, The Netherlands, home to our state-of-the-art R&D facilities.
