We are looking for a (Senior) Financial Accountant to join our Transactional Control team at the Trespa headquarters in Weert, the Netherlands to help us grow into the business partner role that we aspire to have.

 

Main tasks team:

The Transactional Control team is responsible for the Shared Service Center that facilitates the financial administration of 14 legal entities and the main tasks for the Transactional Control team are as follows:

  • Analyses for the weekly cash forecast.
  • Processing purchase invoices and identifying improvements in the accounts payable process.
  • Processing and analysing expense claims and reporting on them to stakeholders.
  • Preparing payment proposals (based on cash management decisions).
  • Processing bank statements and comparing to forecast.
  • Credit Management with the aim of reducing overdues (absolute and percentage).
  • Calculating and managing our FX currency exposure.
  • You provide support and backup for other financial and administrative work.
  • Joint projects together with Business Control and Financial Control teams.

Your role:

As a (Senior) Financial Accountant you will be part of our Transactional Control team that consist of, including this role, four (Senior) Financial Accountants. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. The transactional Control team is part of the Finance Team that also includes a Business Control team and a Financial Control team. The focus of the Finance Team is on Continuous Improvement and assist each other in relevant tasks and the strategy is to grow further into a business partner.

Your role will consist of being an all-round player in the team who is able to perform and understand the different tasks of the Transactional Control team and maintain your own responsibility area’s. With a certain maturity (seniority) we expect this role to assist bringing the team to the next level.

What do we expect:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar or relevant position.
  • HBO in Economics, Accounting or similar.
  • MS office Excel and Word.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, other languages are considered a plus.
  • You are a team player, who sees it as a challenge to work in an international environment (no experience in global organisation is required).
  • You have a real continuous improvement mindset and are willing to grow.
  • You have a global mindset and a sense of cultural differences.
  • You are accurate and good at time management and planning.
