Manager Maintenance & Engineering

In this position you will plan maintenance, be responsible for the Maintenance group, consisting of Technicians, Teamleads and Engineers and continuously explore opportunities for modernization. As Maintenance Manager you are responsible for the effective execution, continuous improvement and optimization of the preventive maintenance of the production sites. In addition, you oversee the budgets and maintenance contracts with external parties.

Responsibilities

• You translate the company vision and policy into operational execution;
• Ensures the right balance long term versus short term;
• You make connection between Maintenance and Production;
• You are responsible for the maintenance programs of machines;
• You manage your own maintenance staff and external technicians;
• You manage and monitor the annual maintenance budget;
• Together with your colleague you rotate breakdown services;
• You organize meetings where you discuss concrete objectives (KPIs) and actions with the team.

Desired skills and qualifications

• You have a technical college degree;
• You preferably have over 3 years of experience in a technical management position;
• A flexible attitude is required as you will be on call for breakdown shifts;
• Knowledge of and experience with working conditions in an industrial environment;
• Familiarity with methods such as TPM, Lean Six Sigma and WCM;
• You have an eye for detail and critical thinking skills;
• You are stress resistant and can prioritize well.
