Nemho is the home of Group R&D for the Broadview Holding materials companies Arpa (IT), Formica (world-wide), Homapal (DE), Trespa (NL) and Westag (DE). Broadview pursues long-term growth and value creation through active support of its operating companies and efficient capital allocation.
With combined sales of EUR 1.2 billion the companies have a leading position in the global market for surface materials. They currently employ around 7,000 employees worldwide. The core product is high pressure laminates (HPL). Applications range from façade cladding to kitchens, design furniture, doors and retail interiors. Continuous investment to develop new and innovative products is a key part of the strategy.
Nemho employs over 60 technicians, engineers and chemists responsible for the development of new products and processes and for the continuous improvement of the product quality and production processes efficiency by implementing new and innovative technologies.

The Team Leader Sustainability is responsible for a team of LCA/Sustainability Specialists with the goal of developing environmental improvement plans and achieving sustainability targets. Reducing our environmental footprint is much of what this role is all about, thereby contributing both towards a better environment and Nemho.
 

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage, execute and oversee the development of environmental improvement plans and sustainability targets for different companies within our group.
  • Work closely with the R&D team, operations and purchasing teams to help them translating Life Cycle Assessment results into opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Develop and contribute to internal policies and procedures for the selection of the right suppliers, innovation projects and investments.
  • Ensure the companies of the group are prepared for any incoming sustainability policies and work on sustainability-related certifications.
  • Manage and collaborate in the development of stakeholders’ awareness initiatives, internal trainings and communication activities.

 

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Very good knowledge of the Life Cycle Assessment methodology and related software (preferably Simapro).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive way of working.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Masters in Sustainability, Engineering or a related field.
  • Good understating of policies and related regulations is a plus.

This position can be based in Milano (Italy), Herzberg am Harz (Germany), Cincinnati (US) or Weert (the Netherlands).
