Nemho employs over 80 technicians, engineers and chemists responsible for the development of new products and processes and for the continuous improvement of the product quality and production processes efficiency by implementing new and innovative technologies.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
As a R&D Technician, you will be contributing to the new product developments in energy curable (Electron Beam / UV) resin and coating technologies for the Broadview Materials companies. Based on your insights and together with our diverse team of specialists, you will execute and deliver on projects focused on research and product development. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, whereby depending on your experience and skill set, you can support (sub-) projects for the team. A strong pragmatic, hands-on approach and good communication and cooperation skills are required to be successful.
As a R&D Technician you will:
- Contribute to new product developments, manufacturing processes, raw material qualification, and supplier evaluation.
- Run experiments, pilot and operation scale trials.
- Conduct physical property and/or chemical testing. Operate equipment like electron beam curing unit, SEM, 3D laser confocal microscope and drop shape analyser.
- Plan independently and perform material testing of raw materials.
- Develop and introduce ideas and efficiency proposals.
- Cooperate with 3rd parties to achieve desired results and visit external companies for trials.
- Support operations with problem-solving and process optimization
- Develop prototypes on lab scale and introduce those in production.
- Development new tests and methods of measuring.
What do you bring
Education: Bachelors or comparable vocational qualification in Materials Engineering, Material Testing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
